I had a great time at the 2015 Summer Send Off Block Party in Ayala Alabang Village last June with my pals, Gen and Jeff. There were lots of unique and quirky knickknacks on sale and yummy food (those Kashi Maki from Pink Wasabi were divine!) and drink options strewn about Makiling Park. Also, there were myriad activities that both kids and kids at heart could really get into. (There was even a little petting zoo where you get to pet a sheep. Understand, in a tropical country, seeing a sheep is like seeing a unicorn.)
It was like a great big communal picnic- when we were not munching on our snacks on a banig and floor pillows we milled about the listening to live music. The whole thing had a back-to-your-roots, very laid back kind of vibe to it. I sure hope that I could go to more events like this. It was such a refreshing change of pace.
