Beef Tapa by Red Tapa Corner |
I am currently preparing lunch. It is actually a roast beef brisket, which I started roasting at 10:30 in the morning. This means that we are having lunch at, oh, about 2:30 in the afternoon. Anyway. While my beef brisket roasts, let me tell you about another Sunday lunch I had a couple of weeks ago which was quite memorable.

See, for days before that Sunday, I was having a hankering for good old
tapa with
sinangag and fried egg.
Tapsilog, for short. Thanks to
Red Tapa Corner, I got my wish. The tapa, made from sirloin beef, was slightly sweet and spicy, just as I dreamt it would be. The
Red Tapa Corner gourmet vinegar was a very good complement to the tapa, too. The sinangag component was turmeric fried rice, which explains the yellow hue of the sinangag. For the egg, I had a choice between boiled and fried egg. I preferred mine fried, but could not help myself from having half of a boiled egg.
That was a very good Sunday lunch.
Enjoy yours!
